I want a house chicken!!

It has crossed my mind to bring in my blue cochin. I already have a cat that sheds all over. I can't imagine a chicken pooping. And I can make a diaper but I just got my son going potty. My silkies went out. Dirty birdies! I have got to go get something done today. TTYL.

here they are,,,,,,you can see she looks spoiled,,,,,well they both came out here and deposited a large poop each which I stepped in

had to clean up and then they went back into their room.

It got so quiet I thought they were in the litter box again,,,but their not

Eeee! Tiki, they are so pretty and handsome. She does look quite smug.

I have a minor crisis...I have two chickies (Oh, Tiki, forgot to tell you what kinds I have, I have RIRs, NH, Red Stars and Brown Leghorns and Grizzly, my EE roo.) Anyway, One red star and Grizzly are getting pecked. I have tried my own concoction, but so far it's only half working. Tigger and Grizzly will get a house together soon, probably with one more...but I have got to be patient til this weekend. And I am worried. Most of the naughty ladies are going outside this weekend as I have mentioned. Griz, Tig, Tube Fuzzy and maybe one more will have a house of together, and I really hope to adopt a couple of silkies

which will also have their own house... I think I might be crazy...My crisis is the pecking and trying to figure out what to make for their houses...I want to do them all at once because we have to do the segregation chamber in the outside coop anyway. Might as well get all of the construction projects done at the same time.

But Skand, I might need some of that rooster booster after all.

They are still here. I need to give them a bath, but here I sit on the computer.

Sam and Clara are in a laundry basket till it gets warmer out. A couple more days. I got pellets instead of crumbles for them to eat this time. At first they didnt know what to do with them, but they got the hang of it. I hope now there will be less waste. I hope you can get the poor little guys that are being pecked on situated.

I have a very talkative house chicken at my feet. If she wasn't so feral to other birds, I would just have one big happy family...but Cha Cha is the queen of the house now. All others will have to have their own separate chambers.

they are pretty wounded. I am going out to tag the naughty ones or the good ones, which ever ones I catch first. They only peck two birds that I have seen. Why the red is getting pecked I have no idea. The roo, I understand, he's the most different, but Tigger looks like everyone else.

Kitchen and bath clean. Now I have to clean off my computer desk and get rid of a bunch of stuff.
Risu I looked around here for that rooster booster stuff too because I didn't want to use the blukote. NO WHERE! McMurray sells it but

it was expensive. They are on their stuff.

Amy I saw you have buttercups. I absolutely love mine. I love all my birds but they are the sweetest birds. They love attention. When I'm in the coop they get on the roost bar so I will see them and come over there. I rub them all over and they just "purr" I'm serious they make the cutest sounds and close their eyes.

They are just little sweeties. If you girls want a great breed I recommend them.

Okie! I am being lazy which is why you are seeing me more today. I miss this place!!!

*nod* I can't find rooster booster anywhere except online, either, and it *is* expensive, and McMurray sure is the most expensive.

Careful, Chix, I don't want to be talked into more birds right now. And those buttercups sure sound cute.

LOL... No diaper yet, but not surprising. My mail is pretty slow. Probably tomorrow or friday.

As I said, I tried mixing my own stuff with the ingredients Skand mentioned, but it's not working 100%. Since I am planning on separating Grizzly anyway, I am probably not going to invest too much into the official stuff, unless his harem starts to peck him or vice versa...(aside from the umm..."love bites" he will eventually do...)

I am off now to go study bird behavior. We hookers should write a book on chickens and crochet!

This is by far the most helpful group and I like having a smaller group of gals and guys to go to, instead of being overwhelmed by over 20,000 opinions on some of the other threads. I do get good advice from there too, when needed, but I love "Hookerville"!
