Crochet "Chat"

JFYI-Valerian Root works really well as a Catnip replacement. I take it at night as it is a relaxing herb and has been used to promote sleep since the days of Hippocrates, it works very well in that respect for HUMANS. In cats it has the opposite effect and makes them SOOOOOOO (crazy!) happy.

I never could figure out why my cat would try and hijack my Valerian root capsules, until I did a google search and read about it. VR is very cheap at Wally World.

Hi! Just dropping by to wish everyone a Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to everyone. What are people working on now or is everyone taking a breather from rushing to finish Christmas gifts? I'm finishing up a granny afghan joined in white and plan on an afghan for one of my grandsons and his wife for next year for a start. It's supposed to rain/snow here today, snow down to 2000 feet and we're at 2500 feet so it's a good day to crochet on an afghan and keep warm.

baustin~ Please post a pic of the afghan you are working on. Speaking of crocheting....One of my new year's resolutions is to crochet more often and finish more projects. I have a whole basket full of unfinished projects I need to finish.

I always get the itch to crochet when it gets cooler in the fall and then put things down when it gets hectic around X-mas and then pick them back up now off & on through the winter until spring. I'd like to try to be more disciplined and crochet through the whole year. Oooo so many things I want to make.

I love that kitty bed. Makes me wish I had a kitty so I could make one. My German Shepherd wouldn't like that though. I will post a picture of the afghan when I get my camera back from my daughters. She'll be here with the two boys sometime in the next week or so before she goes back to teaching. I left the camera at her house. OOOP! must be old age. Ha!

Happy New Year everyone. Just checking in. I am trying to knit my first sock. So far so good. I am using a dvd as I am not much of a knitter. I didn't have any trouble at all until last night when it was time to "turn the heel" Let me just add that it was really frustrating!
