60 degree weather today! I will be outside with the kids today! Trying to convince hubby to start building the new run today but I doubt that happens. I'll have to nag him to death first!

O neat I must go to that. I got the Jan/Feb Crochet Today but Darlene you must have the next one. There is a cute pair of chickens in the Jan/Feb edition.
well newchickenfamily I have a stack of reject "squares" about 5 times higher than the ones I have to swap.
I need to take a pic of THAT
Hi Em nice to hear from you. Good to hear you are on the mend.
Stephanie that is TOO funny about your mom's dream.
Hope you are feeling better soon risurocket
lovemychix nice weather! Not quite as warm here but it is still nice!!! Guess what I didnt do yesterday? Thats right, 'headed out to clean their coop today before the weekend'.
I'm glad I mailed out most of that fudge. I made this one that is tooo die for. It is so good I have been into it all day. Basically I combined two recipes to make a layer fudge. I did a peanut chocolate with oatmeal layer on the bottom. Kinda like a crust and then added smooth peanut butter fudge on the top.
I'm going to get fat!
I got my coop cleaned yesterday but I do scoop almost every day.
My chickens are all sitting inside the coop today and not enjoying the sunshine in the run. Crazy birds. I want to go out there and shoo them out.

Yea...my mom dreams of chickens too. EATING THEM! I don't let her near my chickens. I gave her some chicks I hatched in my classroom one time and I went over to see them and I had to look in the freezer to see them. She said they were "meat" birds.
It is the Mar/Apr edition of Croceht Today I wa talking about, I have a subscription so maybe I got it early? Not sure..there are also mary jane looking baby booties in there, it seems and issue worth buying, you know, not loaded with crocheted sweaters and shawls kind of magazine, loL!! I always think a shawl would be handy but then I think, handy for where? When would I actually really use one? With a dress at work? They would laugh me outta the place! With my jeans on the weekends?! Maybe at the race track?! The one time I made a granny square poncho when they first got popular and wore it to the track...holy moly, I was fodder for jokes all night!!! Last time that got worn EVER!! So, to me, some of the cool looking things to make, are not arctually too cool to wear unless you are a cold natured 80 year old that is homebound..just my opinion!! So I pretty much stick to afghans and bath and kitchen things to crochet!!
Nice to see so many folks chatting lately!! Happy hooker chatter, cool!

I think lionbrand.com has a pair of those mary jane booties on their website. I am waiting to see if I have any girl babies. I know two prego's. I'm with you. I not into the "granny" crochet either. I'm in my 30's and everyone thinks I'm crazy for crocheting anyway. Now they have been seeing some of the "cool" stuff I make they want more. I make these skull caps for the girls and now I have an order to make 3 more from a lady who saw one that my neice was wearing and they are paying me. I'm not in it for business I just want to have fun but hey I can buy more yarn with the money I make.
Well girls it is suppose to be in the 60's today and I have to sit inside at the college and do a mandatory class today from 9 to 3. All I can think about is getting outside and working on my run for my chicks. I am tortured.
I wish I could take in all of you...the barn is pretty big, but my landlord might have a fit. I could move you all to my mom's though.
You're in our prayers and thoughts, Queen Scoot and Skand! Keep us posted while you can. And you know that if there is anything at all that we can do, please ask.
