On the what are you crafting thread someone posted pics of these really cute chicken potholders, so I found a similar pattern and after much tweaking this is what I came up with, mine is not a potholder but more of a decoration That is so pretty...where would I find the pattern?

Epattern central Annie's attic whimsical potholders. It's on sale for $3.95 as a download. I tweaked the pattern a bit, I did not make 2 sides like instructions said to do, so that meant I had to finish off and start the head on the other side. I also did not make hanging loop where it said to do so, I connected the tail and comb together and made loop there. I made smaller beak and wattle. I also made different flower and added the accent chain stitches around the blue

yesterday i was at a show and saw some crocheted chicks. one of them was done in black and the top of the head done in white fun fur. it looked like a white crested black polish. adorable. now i am in search of a pattern to use the idea on.

Finished my shawl! It's 17" x 65" (was supposed to be 20" wide, no idea how it ended up 17" but it works)




And I just made my first granny square. Was just using miscellaneous yarn I had on hand, no planned color pattern. May continue it into a lap throw or something.

Is anyone interested in doing a crochet swap? It could kind of be like the ornament swap. People could sign up for up to 3xs and then we would send or assigned swap partners something we have crocheted. If anyone is interested I could set it up
