Crochet "Chat"

Hi, I jut got an iPad mini and am new to apps. It says free for Crochet Today but in the details it shows prices for single, month and year. Which is it?

I was confused about all that in the beginning myself. Basically with all magazines and newspapers it is 'free' to download that app to recieve the magazines. But you do still need a subscription to the magazine itself to be able to download it. Right now they have a deal if you get the subscription for 1 year you can get 2 speciality magazines for free. What I like is I can print the pattern if I want or just have my iPad open while crocheting (which is what 8 do to save on paper

Just to be clear; you get it free and read the patterns and crochet right from the iPad but if you want to download it you need to pay for a subscription? I appreciate your help Thanks!

The app to make it possible for you to view the on line magazine from your iPad etc. is free, but you have to pay for the online magazine subscription in order to see patterns etc

Thanks I'll check it out.

Just finished a scarf that used the entire skein of yarn, except for 5", Red Heart With Love yarn in Deep Blues.

And I started my first shawl, though I'm doing the Frosty Green Fleck color rather than the blue in the pattern picture.

Seem to be, thank you! And what I am hoping is that it will become a part of my life, in case my bad hands become so bad I can't do hand quilting any longer. Already, I've had to stop so many times in the current project (bed runner commissioned by my neighbor) due to badly tingling, then numb, fingers. Crochet uses a completely different range of motion and doesn't require that intense precision that good quality hand quilting does; at least, the crochet I'm doing so far doesn't. I realize there are much more advanced and complicated crochet techniques, but this suits me just fine right now.

On the what are you crafting thread someone posted pics of these really cute chicken potholders, so I found a similar pattern and after much tweaking this is what I came up with, mine is not a potholder but more of a decoration

That is so pretty...where would I find the pattern?
