Crochet "Chat"

Got my mommy's cap mailed out today! They said she will get it Monday morning, which means she will be able to grab it out of the mailbox as soon as she gets back home from chemo #2! Hopefully it'll give her something to smile about while she's feeling like poo!

Gosh, I started with someone's pattern I found and then, didn't care for their "bump stitch" so changed after a few rows to a bobble stitch, alternating singles and triples, like in a wash cloth I make. Their pattern had increases and decreases to make the slanted ends, but on the next one I did, I just did my own bobble stitch washcloth in a more narrow form without the increase/decreases and added the loops on the ends.

Crochet a chain in an even number, I think I did 12 chains if I recall, just chain until you think it's as wide as you'd want it. Then single in the second stitch from the hook and all the way down the row, chain one, turn.
Then single, triple, single, triple, alternating and the rows should always end with a SC. Do that on each row until it's about 25" long minimum. And on the last row I just chain however long I want the loop to be, slipstitch to the first or second stitch of the row, chain one and SC back up the chain and slipstitch at the end to make the first loop, fasten off. The other end, you'll have to SS with new yarn to do that loop the same way as the first. Hope all this makes sense. It's easy peasy.

This is the dishcloth called Wee Bobbles from my 2 Hour Dishcloths book that Terrie gave me that I used to make the back scrubber. I've made little 5" face scrubbies to go with my regular washcloths, too, from this same pattern, with or without the border they have. The bobbles make a gentle exfoliating scrubber that I think is more gentle than those nylon things you get.

I can't find the actual pattern I started with, but this one is most like what I actually ended up doing.

I just finished my 4th minion ski helmet covers and am starting two more tonight. I have a bulk order of 20 coming after the ski season ends. I swear, I'm never doing another minion anything ever again after this. I'm just waiting for a picture of 100 skiers/boarders on Shawnee Peak wearing these helmet covers going viral and then I get nailed for copyright infringement. Could that even happen?

Ha! And you'd get the credit! No, I don't think that could happen (but I'm no lawyer!) I would imagine that Universal Pictures would love the free advertisement!!!!

Hopefully this thread comes back to life if I post this.

I love crocheting. I am self taught using YouTube and a few other websites. I enjoy it a lot. I do some knitting, but I prefer crocheting.

I like to make lots of different things. I usually make any patterns that I find that I like on Ravelry.com. I am currently working on a hat, and I'm hoping to make a few sweaters for my hens that are getting picked on really bad due to winter time boredom.

I haven't gotten to the point in crocheting where I can invent my own patterns, but I'm hoping to get to that point someday.

I hope this thread comes back to life. It seems like a great place to find and give ideas for projects.
