well ya'll i might not be on for a few days as we have a nasty ice storm comming. they are calling for 3" of ice!!!!! and with that means no power...well off to get the chickens and other animals snugged in for the storm take care ya'll

And tearing up stitches is unfortunately part of the game lol epecially if you make something that someone will want to use!!

Anyway I'm proud of you!! When I was in the hospital with my boys on bed rest I taught one of the nurses how to crochet and taught one of the patients. And she only spoke Spanish!!! It was so cool! And I was so proud of her b/c she made a beautiful blanket for her baby!

Hope all ya'll stay safe & warm! Ice storms are no fun at all. We don't have much snow here, but we do manage to get at least one big ice storm every winter. Fortunately, our power company is a co-op and they keep our lines clear so we rarely loose electricity.

lovemychix, sorry to hear about your poor chick. We lost a black silkie hen 2 weeks ago. We think she just got too cold in the frigid temps we had. All the others faired well, but not her.

Same here. No time for a swap!! Even though I think JMajors and I are going to do a fudge swap soon. Fudge is something easy that a person can get out soon. I like this thread. You girls are great!!

OMGOODNESSS!!
Boy we have got our incubation days confused!! See what happens when you get an incubator that holds 300 eggs, a hatcher that will hold 900 eggs, and then 42 laying hens coupled with Jim's egg buying... lol
We just had two eggs completly hatch while still doing the turning thing!! I knew that they should have gone down to hatch yesterday!! Took the rest of the tray out, they are all pipped!! Yayy new babies!!

Hey all!! Woo hoo! Lots of great chat going on today!

Okiemommy! That is so cool about teaching the nurses and other patient to crochet in the hospital!! What else are ya gonna do on bed rest, right??

We are having great weather here today. It's a LOT crazy at my house today though... Kids are off school and my BFF called in a panic last night cause her kids are off school and her babysitter backed out, so I have her 3 kids here too! 6 kids total in my house! I'm soooo not used to the noise and chaos level!

I just got them all fed!
