Crochet "Chat"

Here is the block after I fixed the ribbon shape

Still needs the plum border in honor of caregivers, but I won't have that color until tomorrow.

Made my first ball of "yarn" out of an old tshirt last night. I'd never heard of "rag" crocheting until recently. Its not difficult to make, but pretty time consuming. Gonna make me daughter a rag purse with it, with a pattern I found on Craftsy. Idk when I'll get started though. Too much unfinished stuff to finish first. Lol

I thought the "yarn" made out of old t-shirts would be perfect for absorbent baby bibs. I haven't done it yet though it is hard to find old T's that don't have the seam, and aren't stained all up.

I used to coach my daughters softball teams, before my back got all messed up. So I have a lot of old coach's tshirts. And it worked out pretty well since u don't use the too half anyway, which has all the words made on them. Think I'm gonna hit the consignment shop today and see what I can find super cheap! :) After we finish the cancer ribbon swap, I'm dying to start that purse! Lol

Won't be doing the swap, but I am crocheting like a fiend for a venture that a friend and I are embarking upon. I had this really oddball yarn I got in someone's estate sale, a discontinued Sandra Unger Rayon/Cotton yarn. Did a choker/necklace/decorative jewelry-type cowl with it. I have one entire skein, one almost full skein and another partial but I doubt I'll use it again. Weird, weird, weird.

The fusion blanket is all together, crocheted sashing is complete, border is started but not finished yet.

I rotated these pics before uploading them but they didn't stay rotated?
