Crochet "Chat"

I have a gammill so that part of the quilting doesn't cost me but geez the people that do it by hand.......they would never get what their quilts were worth. That is extremely time consuming. It's beautiful and hard to find but the work of it all. The quilts I make are cat quilts. Scrappy kind. I make some of my own patterns there too. I love designing. I have had good success with quilt sales. Not big numbers but fair.. I got so sick of making quilts that I had to stop. It was driving me up a wall. It takes me about two weeks to make a complete quilt. With selling on ebay it really depends on what you make. Most folks are looking for Christmas stuff now. So making this poinsettia doily will probably sell. I will put a very high price. It will be big like 24 inches in diameter.

As you know, I do all the quilting by hand; just can't do it by machine, don't know how. I do piece with my little Brother, which is great.

I cannot go with the holiday market because I don't make Christmas quilts or Easter quilts and the like. That would really make me hate it!

I made a quilt for my friend, Ellie, for winter and didn't use one single "Christmas" fabric. That would have made it a real distasteful chore for me. I'm having a hard time getting back into quilting anyway after the fire. I have a queen one top pieced and a bed runner ready to quilt, but just can't make myself do it. Crochet is so much easier and less taxing.

Yeppers it's sure is a fun place to search. I have my stuff here. LOL I do stay on there for hours just playing around.

Not a lot of stuff but I have a few vintage patterns for free.
I use the search instead of the categories. I can type exactly what I am interested in and usually find it free. Most of the stuff is vintage for patterns which is good. It bothers me to see copyrighted stuff posted. It happens sometimes. I like the Diy category. Some of those people have the best creations and ideas. There is one idea I am not fond of is when they show candles in logs. I mean geez how stupid can a person be. Who do that. They drill candle holes and put them down in the log. Now what happens when that log dries out. A good puff of wind and your not around and poof your home is gone. I just don't get it.

Did this washcloth set for our storefront. I love this Shell Columns pattern because the back and the front are completely different, but the cloth is so thick and soft-feeling in the tub. Love this one! Same pattern, colors reversed, but you see the pattern better on the solid centered one.

Other side:

And I also like this star shaped pattern as well, easy and great with several in a set of different solid colors:

Well, I tried posting a couple, but yeah, not much going on in this thread lately. I'm furiously creating crocheted and quilted items for our storefronts. Made this easy beanie yesterday. For tons of stuff, check out our stores at Blue Roo Creations and there is a link on it to the Etsy shop, which has more stuff.

And this ladies' hat a couple days before that:

Matching kitchen set of dishcloth and hotpad/potholder:

I've been working on a few things...
Someone requested a Seahawks hat so I whipped this one up. they ended up flaking though :/

Made this for my sis so I could get a free teeth cleaning

Pattern is the "Divine Hat" from Ravelry. but i did a different band and made it longer.

Slipper for one of the babies because she was trying to wear mine :)

And working on this still, finally on the edging though. Baby blanket for a cousin who's expecting soon. I LOVE the colors, hard to find unique color in baby yarns.

And not crochet but was trying to get this finished as well, have one more go around the edge and then have to cut all the fringe in the jeans.

Love the Divine Hat, Bleenie! And you're right about colors being sort of stagnant in the baby yarn area.

Tonight, I started making a crocheted tote bag, first one. Seems easy enough and the perfect use for the less soft Super Savers I am trying to use up.

Since you posted something other than a crocheted item, I just finished this one. Posted a thread about it and no one replied, but I love the fall colors in this table runner.

.

Start of my tote bag. Will be in Dark Sage, Gold and Blue Suede (had to buy that blue, and most of you know why-gosh, I miss him)

ETA: Finished the bag. Wish their handles were a bit stronger, but it is an easy pattern.
