Crochet "Chat"

Hi crocheters! I haven't been on here since summer, as I haven't touched a hook since then. I've made a few things before then like a purse, scarves, beanies, but just taught myself to crochet last year, so I'm far from experienced. I am looking for just the right pattern, that I would be capable of making.
My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer about a month ago. They have already removed the mass and done testing on it. Her cancer doc says it is the most aggressive tumor she has ever seen. So they are starting a very aggressive round of Chemo therapy on Monday. Of course, she will lose all of her hair. She says she refuses to wear a wig, & will just be wearing hats all of the time.
I want to make her just the perfect hat that will be cute, & stylish. It'll have to be light and somewhat airy, because she lives in Arizona (36 hours away from me)

, but not show too much of her baldness through it. I have purchased pink camo yarn, since she will be "going into battle", for the biggest fight of her life!! Any suggestions???
Here is a great one that she can accessorize (or not) with whatever color scarf she would like. http://www.headhuggers.org/patterns/cpatt18.htm

My mother is a survivor (12 years!) and my aunt just finished treatment last month.  If you check on Ravelry.com there are lots of chemo and breast cancer items to crochet.  Good luck and God bless to your mom!!:hugs
Wow! 12 years sounds amazing!! Wishing your aunt the best!! Thanks for the info! Unfortuately It'll be awhile now before I'm able to do anything for her though.. :( Thanks to wonderful Mother Nature, I just fractured my shoulder blade and my left arm is immobilized. Grrrrrr! When it rains it pours... Or I guess when it sleets it freezes is more appropriate these days! Lol

~~On the flowered crochet side of the new quilt I am working on I am adding two small squares one a CA awareness ribbon for my MIL the other a block for my Gma it is for alzhiemers, the color is purple, but I didn't want to do another "ribbon" so this is what I drew up, can you tell what it is??? I designed it so am not sure if it comes across to others like what I was thinking, that is why I am asking.

To me it looks like a broken heart.
