To be honest about it, I totally suck at it!!! I really like ti but I am awful at it!! It's a 4 hour class and I was on the wheel most of that time today and cannot foresee ever making anything that I would claim, lol!!! The class is full of full gabbery, laughing women so that makes it worth it but the pottery..I dunno, lol!!!!

Kris ...Basketweave was the name of that alternating front and back post, couldn't think of it, there are lots of patterns though..too hard for a spring swap, just go on you tube and look at the granny square instructions and the hexagon instructions and do those..maybe an easy circle or two, just make 30 howevermany "shapes". The circles are terribly easy..look at lionbrabd.com and look at their circle dishcloths..use that pattern..easy peasy

OK thanks Darlene, I can find that! For a while there I felt so lost but I think I am comming around. Well I have tried a lot of different patterns but they will probably just go in my 'scrap' box for future reference.

I made some pottery before and really liked it, but only hand stufff. No wheels. It looks hard and can easily shift wrong and flop. It is fun to work with clay though.

Jacie!!! Happy to have you back!!! Miss you when you are away so long!! Hookers need to check in on their corners sometimes, lol!

I think those circles will be easy Kris and if you use a cotton yarn they will also be useful as dishcloths unless someone wants to make them bordered in a square and use them in another way like in a friendship afghan. You can be tradiitonal and just do the squares this swap, the shapes are meant to be fun and challenging so folks will step out abit of their crochet comfort zone and be alittle challenged. I love, love, love those hexagons and when I settle down from my craft hyperdrive I have going right now, I am going to work on nothing but those..course I also have my daughter's afhgna to finish and that cool retro circles afghan too that I am not done with..really like that one and the caron yarn, very soft. But the hexagons, yes, on my top ten fav list for sure! Anyway, make what you like, it's all good

My poor little black silkie died last night.

She managed to get here little head wedged between the hen boxes and the ledge we built for them to stand on to get in there. It's a sad day. She was my only silkie and was just like a little teddy bear. I will be removing all the ledges today so this doesn't happen again. I still can't see how she did this. I was just telling the lady that I bought my silkie and frizzle how well they were doing too. I was so proud of my little girl hopefully she is with Lady in Chicky Heaven.

Karen do you know anyone who raises silkies close to us that we can get another or two?

Hey everyone! Dropping in very quickly to say a quick "howdy"! DH is still working, which is an answered prayer! I've been swamped with things around here, so not much computer or crocheting time. I've been lurking but not posting much.

I'll try to post a little more often. OK - off to get ready to go back to church.

Hey Scrambled I tried a circle and am half way through a hexagon. I am using caron eco soft. I love the softness too.
