Oh, don't get me wrong - we're already planning our garden. And dh has finally decided to break down & buy a tiller instead of breaking our red clay up by hand. We've never had a big garden but I think this year will change that forever! Does that mean I have to pull out the canner?

Glad your uncle is home. That will surely lift his spirit.

LC: We invested in a rear tine tiller a few years back and it has been a life saver! I recommend getting a rear. Front ones don't do as good of a job. We got a medium sized one and it works the ground fast. Mine seed order has been in for a month now.

Queen and Purr: Get some rest or sit and hook all day, but take it easy.

My hubby is going to Des Moines today to finish up his state trooper testing. He does that polygraph and pschological today. I told him not to lie about his wife being a hooker.

He has gone through the interview and physical already. This will be his 4 trip and they are still interested. I hope he gets this so he can get out of the factory working nights.

It is hard on all of us when I work days and he works nights. He's also a grouch all the time because he's tired. This is him------------)

OMG - ya'll are too funny today! I've got to get off of here before the principal comes in wondering what's so funny!
Someone (who's NOT sick) want to trade places with me today? The boiler went out in our building this morning. Blew out a huge puff of black smoke. Now, the whole building smells like fuel oil, and it's getting COLD! My little space heater is working so hard, but it's not helping much. Maintenance is here and working on getting the boiler fixed, but it's not working yet. And the way they work, it could be tomorrow before it's fixed. Either we're all going to get sick from the smell or from the cold.

I'm about ready to go find a classroom in another part of the building that has heat, and move my office in there!

One condition LC, you have to make my phone calls today. Gotta call the sherriff's office and talk them into letting us rehab and rehome the over 105 birds seized in a birdfight ring Saturday. Over 80 of them are roos, and most need immediate medical. They are keeping them in cages and boxes up to 4 per box, most boxes are less then 8 inches wide.
Grr I hate diplomatic people. Gotta be fair, and put them all down. Pffft! Just gimme the birds idiots!

Sure, I'll come make your calls! Don't get me started about how people mistreat animals. It's been a while since we've had a birdfighting ring busted around here, but there was a huge puppy mill discovered about 6 months ago. Lots of Great Danes & Jack Russells. They were all taken by the rescue groups, so I feel sure they are mostly okay now. And occasionally, there's a dogfighting ring busted too. Why in the heck can't people just treat the darn animals the way they should be treated? Or why can't we treat the people arrested the way they treated the animals???

Alright, which one of you kids is playing with the Thermostat again? I had it set for nice and toasty and somebody's been messing with it. Now stop it! I don't care what the heating bill is!

No wonder everybody is getting sick!
