My thoughts and prayers are with you Queen Scoot. I been there with two of mine. Its tough, but if they are willing to work hard they get a good chance of making it. If nothing else the seed is planted there forever.

Good to hear from Scoot and Skand has a cool plan going there and everyone has awesome looking families and all seems well in Hookerville, lol!!! whooo hooo!!!!

I was playin around with the dish scrubbies and made a fried egg...what do you think? lol!!!

I made a couple several years ago and don't know what happened to them. Are they gift material or just silly?

Me too: I got busted with DWI when I was 17...thank God I wasn't that much over and I had a 3.7 GPA. They pulled me over for curfew. We have curfew in this state. I got it deferred and no record. Good girl did bad. Now I just have cocktails with my chickens.

Hey...I just realized we are a bunch of dirty ol' hookers.

But really, Queen when it's your kids I can tell ya I am going to say a big fat prayer for ya and your kid. We really do love ya!

I think it's cute too! I would like the pattern also. That would be a great gift for my sister and one of my friends...I had NO idea my sister liked chickens so much. She has roosters and hens all over her kitchen!​

Queen, sorry to hear of your daughter & trials. Will say a prayer. I was a bad girl too.

Not so much drugs, I didn't do that (my kids have) I just got pregnant when I was 14. Then I went to school to be a LPN & they taught us about alcoholics & the drinking games they played....I learned to play them too, don't think that was the reason they taught us, but oh well.

We have had issues with our kids in thier teens from drugs & lack of respect all the way to our youngest had weight issues & didn't want to eat.

But, they have all turned out pretty well.
Just found out a week or so back our youngest is having another baby!

The oldest was told her baby was 85% sure it was going to be a girl (twice they said that from ultrasounds) & then this last ultrasound they decided wellll...maybe its a boy!??

Jens, I don't know if you got answered on how to finish off your square, but I clip my yarn, leaving a 2-3 inch tail & then I do a slip knot & weave in my ends with the hook or a yarn needle.

LOL!! You all are either very sweet or easy to please, or both, lol! Thanks though. If I had used a pettern my stitches would have been more even, as it is, they are gapped and uneven, I was trying to make it lay flat. You can buy those scrubbies in a pack of 6 for a dollar at family dollar..problem is only 2 of those 6 are yellow!! The others are red and blue so you really can use those in your kitchen, haha! The mesh is easy to crochet into though to get started, I used an F hook, cotton yarn and double crochets, ya'll cna do a much neater job than me I know and single crochet may be better to look more even on the white part. You just have to increas with a chain between every few dcs (or scs if you use them) to make it bigger and lay flat. Since you dont think they are goofy I might see if I can make the next one look better and consider putting it in a chicken themed kitchen basket for Christmas, you know, the dollar tree rooster dish towels and pot holders... somebody else try one so we can get it looking better...

Queen Scoot I have been keepin ya in my thoughts and will be saying a prayer for your DD. Please just support her recovery process and love her.. Some times the the pain of trust and gaining your respect back wins their hearts back over. I have heard it and seen it from quite a few folk, dealing with those type of situations coming through our office. If she can find a really interesting and productive group of people to take her in a posative (sp?) direction it may help. But ya can't force it, but you can guide it
