Thanks for the comments about the pics & puppies. It really doesn't look much like NC right now, but just wait - it's supposed to be 40 tomorrow, 50 Wednesday, 60 Thursday, and 70 Saturday. The temp today didn't get above freezing, but the sun was so bright, it warmed up the surfaces (including the ground) and the snow's about half melted already. It'll just be a soggy mess by this time tomorrow.
The puppies are the kind that have a lot of different names (Heinz 57, Sooner, etc).
wink.png
They are basically mutts. The mom is Husky & Rotweiler, the dad is Chow and ???. Both of the parents are as sweet as they can be. The puppies were born in a shed near our house, but she didn't bring them around until they were about 6 weeks old, so they are a little skittish. But they are starting to want to be petted & played with. Meister will even come up to get his belly rubbed. I wish Samy's whole face was in the picture. She has one blue eye and one brown eye (their mom has blue eyes) and is so pretty. We have a home for Samy, and maybe one for Grizz, but the other two will probably stay here. And EVERYONE outside is getting fixed.
**Background on Meister's name - his dad is Jaeger (as in the liquour) and his mom is Skyy (like the Vodka). DS23 insisted that if we planned to keep a male puppy, it had to be named Meister, to go with the dad's name. So we have Jaeger & Meister. **

those puppies are so cute

Don't you just love puppies? Our five inches of snow from Sat. is about gone now thank goodness. I don't mind late winter snows as they don't last and they are so pretty.

Awww I want one for my sister. I can't have one, since I am allergic, but I wish I could get her one! (I would have to find out if she can have one though too.

LC you better hurry up and make you snow chicken! There might be some left just enough for one!

Hey ris, what about the dogs that don't affect allergies? I know there are many breeds out there now. I have four shih-tzu and they don't bother my allergies to dogs. My sis has a bischon and it is the same way. I can't imagine not having a dog.

I would have to meet one and check. I have been around other supposedly hypoallergenic dogs and Ooo baby they weren't hypoallergenic to me. *shrug* Admittedly the really short haired ones like labs and stuff are the ones that seem to be the hardest on me.

right now we can't have a dog anyway, since we are renting, but maybe someday on our own farm we will see about having an outside dog.

Welcome Ra!!! LC, we got NO snow, zero, zip! Saw some though, went to Moore county today and they had some. But it's ok, I am thrilled to get off work at 4pm and be home by 4:15!!! unbelievable!!!! got home in time to see the freakin sneakin crane in my pond again, grrrrrrrrrrrr he thinks my goldfish are his sushi bar, not sure what I am going to do about that thing but I have raised those koi and goldfish from 3inches long to the koi being 2 - 3 pounds and nearly all the goldfish are 5 - 6" long and gorgeous orange..that dang crane, protected or not, is going to be dog chow if I can figure a way to ring his skinny neck!!!!!
