Hi lovemychicks9, my prayers that your new beginning is fruitfull to you and yours. There is always a reason for everything. Living in the south has to be wonderful. You must tell us of everything you are doing now? Are you living in the country with chicks? If not you will still be very happy. Hope all goes very well for you.

I did think of you, Karan, and your opening and hoped it went well. storms came through here early Friday and left us without power and water until dh got home that evening and hooked up the small generator. got power back on Sat. night and sent the generator to neighbor who was still w/out power till Sunday evening. All seems to be getting back to normal now. They are saying it was a "land hurricane, category 1". Unbelievable how many very old oak trees and other trees are lost. Many across the roadways, across homes, etc. No one hurt thank God, in our area.

Ozark How I have missed you girl ! It is me Trudy from AR! I moved here to SC because we did not like AR at all . It was just not a good fit for us , miserable hot and humid and lots of tornadoes. I had to leave behind most of my chickens and start over again. I have 5 of my original gang and my very dear friend who is a total enabler (hee hee) has now turned me on to hatching. Just completed my first hatch last friday and out of 7 EE eggs from his hens I hatched 6 beautiful chicks. I am so hooked now and he knows it . We love it here though, the people are so friendly, the climate is beautiful and the scenery is amazingly breathtaking. A beautiful view only minutes from our home. We live in a very small town kind of like a Mayberry town and I love it but we are only 15 minutes away from anything that you could possibly want in the next city, and I am only 15 minutes from work! I am glad to be back here I sure did miss you and I hope all is well with you and life is good too.

Wow, so much to catch up on! Welcome to the newbies! Glad to have you here. Karan, so happy that the grand opening went well!! All who endured the storms this weekend were in my thoughts & prayers. And Trudy, don't know if you were still here when I joined, but welcome back anyway! Where in SC are you? We are about 1 hour from the state line if we take 321 to 85 south.
Anyway, gotta go. Our Mother/Daughter banquet is tonight, and I'm the MC. Gotta finish getting stuff done. See ya'll later!

your humble queen has returned for a lil while....we are renting a duplex right now and waiting to hear on a loan for my dream home.....
have the dogs and cats with us but Slightly Cracked has my chickens.....
how has everyone been? did ya'll miss me? sorry SE that i wasnt able to do the swap...as life kinda got in the way!!

Lutheranchick we live in Duncan SC. We are very close to the Greenville/Spartanburg area and about 45 min. from Asheville . We are in the upstate area and very close to NC,TN, and Virginia borders , thanks for asking and we love it here !

BlossomHen....We could sure use some of that rain that you have been getting here in N.Fl. It is so dry and yet so hot and humid. Sorry you are getting so much there.
