AAWWW thanks ladies I have missed you all so much !! It is very good to be back here again. SE I sure did miss all your wonderful posts and all the chuckles I got everyday . Risu I am so glad to hear that all is going so well for you and you are going to be a mom. How cool I am so happy for you . It has been a wild ride and the trip from Arkansas and over to South Carolina was interesting but we made it fine with a few of my chickens in the back of my pickup. I did get some very odd looks at the rest stops when I was feeding and watering chickens there. We are setteled in now and I have a small coop up and am starting to build back my flock. I too am a proud new mom to 6 three day old EE chicks that I learned to hatch from a very dear friend here in SC. This was my very first hatch ever and out of 7 EE eggs I got 6 healthy beautiful babies . He cheered me on all the way and gave me excellant advice and wonderful guidance and some beautiful fertile eggs to hatch. He is such an enabler .

So expect to see me here and often again and thanks so much for the warm welcome back to the flock! Oh and SE we are now neighbors as I live in Duncan SC so howdy neighbor . I am in the very beautiful upstate area and I love it !

I am so glad you are happy there!! If we ever left this homestead, I would hope it would be in deep south. Love those states...not all the way down in Florida as I need to see some change in seasons, but would love longer warmer seasons. LOL
Scoot, glad to have you back and will pray you get what you want. Sure hope Skand, Jim and the girls are all doing ok?

Oh its so totally wonderful I am on my brand new laptop and no clitches or anything. the other LTP was just impossible to fix and I did lose some hatch records and pictures but life goes on and I am happy with my new one. and to top it all off I have high speed net. YEA!!!!! mom got me the service through my cell phone, and boy does it beat dinosour dial-up, its so quick and I can even use it during the storms, well when I am at moms, when I am here at home Its off an on as you have to have a good cell signal on your phone for it to work and when it rains here thats kinda hard to get.

Scoot I am soo glad to see you I sure hope all goes well and you get loan for your dream house. well I am off to surf but now you can pm me and all that good stuff and I will be on more now at least I hope. I will for sure everyday until the rain stops which don't look like anytime soon.

Yes we still have swaps but we close the threads after the swaps, it seems to encourage more folks to join us if we just have a "chat" thread here and the swap threads separate. We are just finishing the spring swap, another week on the deadline and all mailed back before the onth is out, still have a few we are waiting for and haven't heard much from....Also, need to either get a committment from Chuck on the fall swap..HINT< HINT..or someone else step up and offer to host the fall swap please so I can stop worrying about it!! I'll handle the Secret Santa this fall but I want someone else to take the swap please..run it owever ou want and decide on squares, or whatever shapes you want, or items too if you choose, you know like pot holders or dish towels, whatever you want..but someone commit please. Maw, still gonna run that critter swap now that you have a jazzy new computer or are you tied up with the Sassy Sidewinders?

I don't know where Duncan, SC is, I'll have to look on a map but we are only about 2 hours from Dillon, SC. Anywhere in the Carolinas is a very good thing!!! Welcome to the friendliest part of the country ...course I am a bit partial to Carolina blue skies!!!!!!

Good Morning...

Its a very BEAUTIFUL morning here, got lots to do today... we started planting stuff in the gardens last night, going to be at it again today, man I ♥ it... not really the planting part but the I know we are going to have lots of food in a couple of months part. Going to go watch my neighbor process two of his cornish hens this morning, he's already done one and they cooked it up, he said it was really good.

how is everyone on this wonderful tuesday??
we are all ok here,just trying to get settled in and unpack some things.
DD is now home from the childrens hospital and boy has she been a handful!! LOL its good to have my family back together afgain,i just hope she stays away from the drugs and doesnt have a relaspe.
i cant wait to get my own house and get my chickens back home,put up the pool,plant flowers and veggies.
Gosh i miss doing that but hopefully we wont have to rent this duplex very long. but however i am VERY greatful that we found this place as we both were getting tired of being homeless.
well gotta go get some things done i lovers y'all

well I have a water veggie garden, but a garden none the less. and the plants are growing alright. but I am having the most fun I just moved 36 eggs in to the hatcher. and have 45 in the other bator and fixing to set another 45. oh I love hatching season.

on a bad note my baby geese got evicted from the laundry room last night

they are now about oh 3 weeks old, and I got them last week anyways I was having to change their bedding every other day and I would have to take them out for a walk 3 times a day sometimes in the rain, as thats all it has done around here for weeks, anyways dh came home and it was time to change the litter, and dh said no more they had to go out in the goose coop.

not too happy as I am worried about they, but pretty lady is doing great with them has taken them on with out any griping, so well its for the best as i will have more chicks coming this friday and I will need the room in the brooder room.

well I hope everyone is having a great tuesday. I am off to go doodle on the web for a while. talk to you all later. maw.

to all! Baby squirrel girl is doing well. She had the hiccups today and I got to feel her really well for the first time. Soon DH and DD will be able to as well.

Got to run. DD is home today and already driving me nuts.
