Crochet "Chat"

okie, i didn't do any breast feeding, but listening to my DD#1, she says the more her boys was on her, the less tender she felt because she wasn't so huge & full. With your guy on for 2 hours, that might be why.

where you going?

Good Morning...
I picked our garden for 4 hours yesterday... non stop (but to run in to get a drink and use the bathroom) I was in bed by 9 last night, I was beat!
Made some homemade pasta sauce with some of the veggies, taking some to my momma today then canning green beans and freezing stuff, we planted pumpkins with our garden and we already have about 6 sitting outside... going to cook and freeze em to... we didnt know how long they took to grow and turn, so we have pumpkins in July

We planted more for Halloween. Seems like I'm always picking berries but I dont get a huge amount at one time... I just keep freezing what I pick every other day, think I've got 4 gallon freezer bags now

I'll be making jam with them. We had alot more last year....

Lovemychix - thanks, I think the rain had something to do with not getting as much berries this year too and our tomatoes still havent turned, well 2 have and a handful of cherry tomatoes have... your chickies are cute, love the mohawk thing going on with the black chickie... nice coop too

Thx Jen. That coop was suppose to be mostly storage and a few chickies.

I think the wild birds got all my blueberries and grapes this year. Nothing on my bushes at all this year. I usually cover them with strawberry netting and I didn't get it done in time.

Hi Okie! My knee jerk reaction to your description is that I think you would be able to tell if Ian wasn't getting enough to eat. I didn't read back far enough to see what exactly was happening, but I hope things get better or stay better.

I never had any problems with my first. Hoping baby squirrel girl takes after her sister. *knock on wood*

Chix, *great* pics! So cute!

If I dont do it this year I will next year. We just have a few tommater plants this year. They arn't doing the best, I think it is because we have been cooler this year.

I have lived in the desert now for three years and this is the first year my tomatoes have done well. In fact they exceeded my expectations. I've had lots of tomatoes but they aren't blooming anymore due to the heat. My beans didn't do well but the zucchini did well and so have the onions. Our lettuce was good early while cool. Since there's just me and hubby I don't plant enough to can. I used to when all 7 of my children were home when we lived in NC.

My chickens are laying now, small pullet eggs but they'll get bigger. I think only three out of ten are laying. It's hard to tell since I don't get eggs every day.
