Risu they are growing leaps and bounds and only lost one so far. I lost 9 of the ones I got from Meyer hatchery but they sent replacements yesterday. Hope those do better than the first ones. So far so good.

I have been so busy with all the summer crops. Shelled a bunch more purple hull peas, picked lots more figs and juiced cherry tomatoes and got 4 gallons in the freezer till I have time to can them later. I just hope the figs will hold up in the fridge till I get time to peal them tomorrow. I also picked 2 walmart bags full of elderberries on my way to my mothers house to get her juicer for the tomatoes. I just now remembered they are still in the back of my truck!

I am sick of tomatoes or at least the smell of them.
Now I know why summer goes by so fast, there is so much to do ya never get a chance to sit and be bored lol. At least my pantry will be stocked pretty good after this summer. My DH just brought in 4 quarts of honey too. Got to filter that soon.
They only reason I am not dead to the world asleep now is cuz we went out to eat tonight for my sons B-Day and I had 3 glasses of tea and now cant slow down from the caffeeine(SP). I guess that is also why I rambled on so much. Guess I will try to get some sleep befor work tomorrow. Night all! Have a good Saturday!

Hey Everybody...

Hope your have a great Saturday... I just got done cutting grass, its hot out there! Taking a break, then its back out to work in the yard... going to try to talk Dh into turning the underneath of our back porch into another chicken pen for 2 of our roosters.

algopurple - your one busy lady... I'm about sick of canning and freezing but I know its all going to taste great this winter plus help on the grocery bill

SE - Thinking I need to try some tea, maybe it can get me going

Oh and in Arizona (where I just moved from) you can't get Sweet Tea in a restaurant. You have to order Unsweetened and sweeten it yourself or you can order Raspberry Tea.

The problem with me drinking so much tea is that at home I drink decaff but any time you eat out they only have regular and my system is not used to it so I felt like this

last night when I should have been asleep.

I woke up with a cold/ allergy type thing with the runny nose and raw throat this morning. This afternoon my lungs hurt so bad I was seriously considering going to the ER and I never ever do that. I could barely breath the pain was so bad. I have no idea what caused it but my SIL brought over her kids' breathing machine and that got the pain down to a managable level till I can get to a doc. on Monday.
Going to try to go back to the lake for my sons B-Day party tomorrow and grill out. Hope I am feeling better by then cuz I really hate to have to call it off with so many people looking forward to it.

Guess what ya'll??~~~~!!!! The very sweetest, funnest person showed up at the race last night!!!!! LC!!!!!!! How awesome was that???!!!!!

She made a few detours in Michigan I think!!!

but eventually found the race!!! LC, thank you so much for coming, I loved meeting you and spending time with you, it was so much fun!!!!! She got to meet Crumples and her DH too who also came to the race (same ole motor problems, finished int he middle of the pack...sigh...) how fun to have your BYC friends show up!!!!!!

LC, again, that was so awesome for you to be there!!

No news here. Hot, sticky weather...school starting in 2 and a half weeks...lots to do before that. Baby due in 5 weeks supposedly (scheduled c-section like Okie)...depending on what we find out with the ultrasound on Tuesday.

Hey everyone! Thanks so much for everyone of you that wished me better! Must have helped. My lungs still hurt if I take a big breath but LOTS better than I was yesterday. As long as I remember to take ibuprofrin (for pain and swelling). The party did happen and I think we all had a really good time. Even my mother that never ever ever gets in water (can't swim) got in with a tire float and joined in out splash fight! My sister had some ear plugs to keep the water out of my ears and I just swam lots less but still great fun. I just wish we had not discovered this lake so late in the summer or we would have been up there every Sunday since May.

Going to try and see a doc. tomorrow.

That is so cool that SE and LC got to get together. Wish more of us could do that. I would go to a chickenstock. Wish there was one nearer here than KY. That is the only one I know of and DH said too far.

Going to go collect eggs now. Hope everyone else had a good Sunday!
