I have a SS package full of stuff to send out but my person dropped out of it...most of you know my story. I didn't receive a SS package either but I would send out my package if I were to get another address. What do you think Scoot? I don't know it could be done fairly. Is there a list of participants who have not received anything?, and if so...how can we go about fixing it? It disturbs me that people won't follow through with these things. As we can see from the pictures, people put their heart and a lot of effort into these thoughtful gifts.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Ok gals let me tell you my story from SS last year...
Maw had me, she sent my package out on time & it never came, never came...when I say never I mean MONTHS! She was on the look out for it to go back to her as I was looking for it. Come February or March (I think it was), she wanted to send me another one. She was having finiancial issues like the rest of us, so I told her not to worry about it, it was the thought that count. Even so months went by & this past late summer, I got a package in the mail...it was from MAW!! Now what I don't know is if it was the same one or she did send another one.
...maybe the grinch got all yours???

My mother and aunt taught me the basics of crochet, but I second what Jen said~~~Youtube! I learned so many more things to crochet on youtube!

That is exactly how it was for me too!

I can remember sitting and waiting for my mom while she did Tupperware, and I would crochet all kinds of things that I thought were cool for my Barbies~~~Thinking back, they were probably just chains and odd looking balls!!!!LOL

Those are all good suggestions on learning how to crochet. It all depends on whether you can understand wrtten directions or not. Some people need to see how it's done. Someone that you know that crochets is another way of learning. Try them all and see. You can learn something from all of them. Good luck! Merry Christmas to everyone. I hope all of you have a very pleasant Christmas Day. Those of you who have children at home are doubly blessed. Tomorrow DH and I leave for a 3 hr. trip to my daughters where we'll spend Christmas Eve at her in laws. They put on a big family feast every year so the little ones can be with grandparents and great grandparents to exchange gifts leaving Christmas Day for the children see what Santa has brought. We'll spend the night and return Christmas Day after visiting DH's daughter and her family on the way home.
Merry Christmas again to all of you.
