Crochet "Chat"

I copy the url first then open up the thread I want to post to. After I click "post reply" I then hit "cntrl v" to paste. Once you've pasted it into the thread you can type wherever you like around it (I paste it first so I don't forget and copy something else onto the clipboard). You can always hit "preview" instead of submit, then scroll to the top of the page to see if you like how it looks. Once you get it looking the way you want then hit submit.
Oh, I do like to put a blank line between pics and text, or a few spaces, so that the text doesn't get lost right up against the pic.
Good luck! It took me a while to get the process down too and I did it by doing exactly what you're doing. Asking other BYCers for help.

thank you, thank you, thank you. I'll give it a try soon. What about multiple photos? Do you do it the same way? Do you copy and paste more than one at a time and then go to your post? The way I've been doing it I lose my post trying to copy and paste a second photo.

I'm back again. I just tried what you said but....I am in the thread when I want to add the photo, I go to uploads and do what you say but I lose the thread and can't get back to it to post reply. Am I missing a step?

Go to the photo, right click on it and copy the URL, then either hit your back button back to post you want to post it on or go to the recent post section. If you have a hard time finding your post, make a simple post like Be back with a photo, then go to the uploads, copy the url, go to recent posts or click on Show Your posts, open you post up again and hit edit to reopen it, past the URL and you should be ok.

I appreciate the thought but I don't want management to think we are soliciting. We've received several donations from members who have PMd me, but I don't want to alienate are head "roosters and hens". Thanks for the thought though, it's a great to be supported so much by you guys. Our other project was funded this morning for the quilt kits and sewing kits, and pot holder kits. Now I'm going to try and pick us up some of the roller cutters for the group, I think after trying to cut quilt squares myself, scissors are just not going to "cut" it lol!!

baustin - I'm still running windows xp, so mabe this doesn't apply to you..... but, I open 2 windows (go to "file" at the top left, then "new", then"window")...photobucket in one window and byc "post a reply" in the other....copy my url from photobucket and go right to the other window and paste my url in the "post a reply" window....then you can go back to photobucket and copy another url just buy switching to the other window...and then back to "post a reply"... paste however many pics you want, type the message and that's it....

You can only keep one pic at a time on your "clipboard". So to avoid losing your post just open another window and do all your copying, one at a time from there and just click over to the other window, with your post, to paste. Don't close the different windows and you don't even have to minimize them. Just go to the bottom, left of your screen to open the other window or the top left of your screen if you opened another tab in the same window. Either way works.
I use the upload storage here on BYC. They just gave us all 50% more storage space than before so you can hold quite a few photos there now!
If all else fails I get one of my kids to tell me what I'm doing wrong. They are much more tech savvy. Good luck!

Oops, just noticed that chickinlickin said the same thing!

Yea, rotary cutters are the way to go! Just don't make the same mistake I made when I first bought mine. I bought the cheapest pair, trying to cut corners, and they broke on the first project I used them on and they didn't cut very well before they broke. In retrospect they were a very expensive pair! Wait till the really good ones go on sale then buy them. I got my $60.00 cutter for $30.00 when it went half-price. I still thought that was ridiculous 'til I got it home and used it! What a dream to use!!! Makes quilt blocking a breeze to cut. In fact I can cut a few layers at a time with a very light touch.

Thanks Sunny! I bought a Fiskars rotary cutter for me and I'm having a little trouble because it will cut really great but then one tiny little section won't cut and I end up going back over it again and again. I bought another blade to see if that might be the trouble and I'm going to try it out tonight!
