Hey Jen! How long does it take you to finish a ripple?

I really dont know... some days I work alot on one, other days just alittle here and there, then other days nothing at all... I'm bad at keeping track!

Congratulations! How exciting!

Jen that ripple looks really nice. You always make such pretty things. Still not learned how to do the ripple but maybe one day....

Thank You

Hey everyone!

Glad to see everyone is getting back on. I've missed you. Congratulations on the project you've been working on Elizabeth. I stopped crocheting while it was hot but am getting back into the mood. The high desert is cooling down so I should be comfortable with yarn in my hands soon.

Welcome all newcomers. I hope we have a fun time here.

Hey everyone!
Jen I really like the colors in that last afghan you posted by the pine tree...you are super fast! I guess I could be making blankets like that too if I wasn't always doing other things around here. Just don't really like having that heavy hot yarn on me in all this heat. I did start making scarves for christmas gifts but even those got on my nerves around July and August. I guess I need to get back to working on them since christmas is slowly creeping up on me and will be here befor we know it!

When we went camping this summer, I actually took my yarn and attempted to work on a babyghan... hahahaaaa that didnt last long! That yarn just gets stuck on your fingers and it makes hotter. I'm actually glad to see Fall coming too... I ♥ Fall. (I love all the seasons at one point or another, lol).

I finished a granny square babyghan today, started it on Sunday... have an order for a blue one and a pink one for boy/girl twins... blue one is done, moving on to the pink one. Post pics when they are both down.

HI! Just wondering if I could join in?

I crochet quite a bit, but only know how to do the basics, like single crochet. I would love to learn how to do patterns, but I absolutely can not read them. So confusing. Can anyone help me?

I am pretty proud of the thing I have made, a couple baby blankets for family and friends, a queen sized afghan for my bestie (which she drags all over her apt and take to class with her and she is 29!), a couch blanket for my Grammy and an American flag afghan, made to federal flag regulations (let me tell you what a chore that was to figure out).

Also, does anyone know how or know where I could find out how to crochet stars? I need 50 of them for the flag and have no idea how to go about it.

Thanks!

I can't help you with the stars but you should be able to find something on the internet. As to learning other stitches and having trouble reading the directions, there are patterns that show you a picture of how to do it. They're very descriptive. Lot's of luck. Do you know anyone close to you that could help you? I would love to but I live on the west coast and my transmission went out on my broomstick.

My mom crochets also, but she says it is too frustrating to teach someone, so she refuses to try to teach me. She knows how to do all the things I want to learn, too.
