Thanks Smittys Farm: I mostly use Red Heart Yarns... I do have alot of yarn my aunt and uncle both picked up at yardsale this past summer, there was different kinds in the bags. I call em chunky cause I use a fat hook and it looks chunky to me, lol. The tam hat I just made I used caron simply soft eco yarn color mulberry mist

So for the scarf did you use two colors together? I guess I need to look at the pic again. I like Red Heart yarns also, esp for granny squares.

I'm packing up all my projects and crocheting supplies to take w/ me on our Girl Scout Yule Log Hunt/Camp Out. Woo hooo.....relaxing crocheting time for me tonight. (I hope!) Need to unload all the peep's feed from the car so we can fit the girl's stuff in there.

It is a soft hat/yarn, I like it. I do use 2 colors of yarn if someone wants me too, now if I only use 1 color I just pull the yarn for both places on the skein and I almost use the whole skein. Then I do the Funky Chunky Scarf... only difference is its wider... nice and warm

Have a great time tonight, sounds fun... we have Ds14 basketball tournaments tomorrow (I'll be takin my crochet bag) and Christmas Cookie Night at our house!​

I think we are going to have a great time tonight. The girls are really excited! We are just going to hang out inside the big commissary room that have a lot of tables set up, play board games, do crafts, eat junk & pizza for dinner. No agenda like most of our camp-outs and the girls like that. That is good for me too. I get to relax instead of facilitating an event or project. Not really camping b/c the cabins are heated, but that's ok w/ me for this time of the year. Tomorrow we get up and hide the Yule Log that the younger troops have decorated and put out trail markers that they made along the way. We build a fire, help make hot chocolate and then help the younger troops find their logs. When they find them we throw them in the fire. Whew...it's gonna be cold, but fun!!!

Good luck @ the basketball tournament! Have fun making cookies! Yum!
