Good for you, Kathy!

Forgot to say that I got quite a kick out of the "punk rock" silkies....Silkies dyed different colors, lol. I didn't take my camera, but was wishing I had.

Holy WOW! What a day! The sheer number of birds was overwhelming. I especially loved the peach golden pheasants I saw in the sales area. I looked for the dorkings for most of the afternoon and never did manage to find them. But I did find a number of other really cool breeds. And DH seemed to really like the OE bantams (or "people chickens" as he kept calling them) and the silver sebrights in spite of his claim to strictly prefer large fowl birds. We were successful in our quest for new birds, although we spent more than we probably wanted/needed to (we also got better quality birds than we started off looking for too, so it's all good). And somehow a blue Ameracauna cockerel found his way into our van for the ride home! Along with a black Ameracauna pullet and a lovely blue Orpington pullet. Now let's just hope he's a quiet roo and the neighbors don't complain about the crowing. In the end, we even snuck over to the ARBA show and wandered through the bunnies and cavies (brought back good memories from raising rabbits in FFA and the guinea pigs we had as pets growing up). I wish I had pics to share, but I managed to forget the camera at home and didn't realize until halfway to Indy.

Anyone with results for Toulouse, Sebastopols, Muscovies, embdens?

How about Silver Laced Wyandottes?

I'm pretty up to date on the silkies... thanks to the breed club and facebook.

According to the Exhibitors list, there were 39 bantam and 71 LF Silver Laced Wyandotte entries. The breeder of my three hens was there and I talked to him a bit. They were judging the SL LF at the time. A pullet he raised and sold was 2nd and he had one finish 3rd and 5th. I believe it was a William Gardhouse bird that got BV among them when I went to look. I didn't take any pics of them....sorry!
