ummm, I'm not sure on that one.

Yes Joe Mazur's Black Cochin was Champion bantam FL. I thought the Buff Brahma hen/pullet was reserve FL.

I left my jacket and sunglasses on a bench while loading out. Forgot to pick them up. I was over 100 miles out of Indianapolis when I discovered it. I kept going for home. I had made previous arrangements to pick up a pair of Black Bantam Cochins for my grandson so he now has his own show birds. I bought a of Cochins for myself while there.

That caught my eye also but in a negative way remembering that they banned dyeing chicks in the 50's or 60's. I wonder if it is some comment on all the "designer" colors of birds out there.

had a great time seeing everybody. brought home some great polish. a LF silverlaced roo, a banty wcb, wc cuckoo, and a pair of banty bufflaced the hen ins frizzled !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with that

Other than Foley's Wyandotte's that is! He's a beautiful turkey and we are not even turkey people. I was very disappointed in the turn out of some breeds but by far the most disappointed in the allowing of the colored Silkies SHAME on you Crossroads for allowing that. These are real animals not stuffed toys for some persons amusement until the color wears off then toss the silkie.Completely turned me off from the show and all to do with it.

This was the first show I have gone to. I was at the fairgrounds for the rabbit show, this was a bonus! I didn't know about it sooner, I would have taken an extra day off work. As it was, I got there late Saturday afternoon, so I missed most of it.

I did however get a lot out of looking at what was there and comparing it to what I have at home. I now know the difference between hatchery birds, my birds, and show birds! I was happy to see that my seramas (whose parent stock came from a show breeder) aren't that far off the mark. Got some areas to work towards with them. At least I have some direction! I bought a few birds too.

Is this a show that is held here every year? If so, will do better planning next year.

We had a great time. It was good to meet some of you and I'm sorry I didn't meet more BYC folks. I kept pretty busy buzzing here and there.

Ethan picked out a pair of D'Anvers bantams. He just fell in love with them. (We really didn't need another breed or variety!
