Scary! This crow was massive and pretty close to my ducks..

Would they try and eat their food?

I'd say that they probably would, a couple of months ago my chickens were gathering around my bird feeder and eating the feed that fell, and a few crows tried to come up and "blend" in with the flock and steal some feed. My head hen wouldn't have it, and chased them off without hesitation.

The crows here at my place eat grain and eggs, but I haven't seen them go after chicks or ducklings, but as others have said, they sometimes will.

@TwoCrows and @Ravynscroft know a lot about crows and ravens.

Some will, some won't... but crows will also harass raptors in the area too...

Me too if I hear the crows it's usually because they are harassing a raptor

Must have been 50 of them the other day chasing a Red Tailed Hawk.

We have a group[murder] I think it's called? that live up the mountain from us and boy during nesting they really get rowdy. It's very cool to watch.

Ravens or Crows might take a tiny chick if it was alone and small enough. They wont mess with larger birds for the most part.

I just LOVE how Ravens run off the Hawks. It's interesting, my chickens have learned the sounds the Ravens make when mobbing an airborne hawk. (Ravens have so many calls)The chickens will come to attention and scan the skies to watch the Ravens, whereas normally the chickens ignore soaring Ravens since we have so many of them. Love them!

Oh and yes, Crows and Ravens will eat chicken feed!!
