I read that Duane Urch supplies chicks for Strombergs.

he does but not sure who supplies the show quality ones. zook? bender? what are they up to $10 a chick? so $250 + for 25 chicks that you still will have to cull from. no i haven't tried them. looked but went with sandhill.

I asked Welp where they got there Cubalayas from and they said they got them from Privett Hatchery in Portales, New Mexico. Does anyone know anything about this hatchery and their cubalayas?

I didn't even know they had Cubalayas at Privett. Learn something new everyday!

Privett has always been big with Turkeys. I do know they rec'd their start with some Turkey breeds from Glenn because he's mentioned that to me on the phone in the past. It is possible they (Privett) rec'd their Cubalayas from Glenn as well, but that would just be a guess.

Well, my Welp chicks are 17 days old now. Not sure what BBRs are supposed to look like at this age. Here are pics of three of the chicks. Most of the chicks have the same color patter as the top and bottom one, but the middle one is a little different.
