Good morning, everyone!

Chicks are coming this week and I was wanting to start them on medicated starter. If any of you feed medicated chick starter, how long do you usually keep them on it? Could I feed it until the bag runs out then switch to a non-medicated starter? New chicken mom already stressing out

What breed of chicks are you getting Riv? New chicks are so much fun, you're going to have a great time!

So I made the move yesterday. Combined all the silkies together, only put 2 roosters in the coop though, didn't want to put all 6 in there with only 8 hens. The other boys got their own apartments for now until I can get a bachelor pen made. The boys seemed to be getting along ok last night, each kinda just kept to their own corner. The coop is pretty big so they both have enough room to move around. Also had 5 new chickee babies in the incubator this morning when I left for work. They are my memorial day babies. Thinking Patriotic type names for the ones I keep!!

Love the idea of the patriotic names! Don't forget about Betsy (Betsy Ross, she sewed our first flag)!

Love it! All the other ones looked like something my chickens would jump right into! Will have to show this one to DH. (But maybe not today. He just finished the coop and run!)

We haven't hit the 80's yet, but maybe by next weekend we'll get there. You guys get a lot of heat, the 80's are warm enough for me!
