I’m rusty 😞😞
“I may not be human anymore, but I’m not stupid. Don’t lie to me.”

“Oh please! You left us! You left us all for dead in that god forsaken house!” (Child)

“I did what I had to!”

The child shook her head, closing her eyes as tears threatened to slip past. “No! No you didn’t! You did what was best for you! And then you became one of… them.”

“You don’t know the whole story.”

“What I know is enough. You don’t deserve the truth.” The child backed away, to the others watching. “Don’t come back. Like you said, you aren’t human.”

“No! You don’t understand! It was for us! For you, me, your siblings! Please just listen.

The child ignored her pleas, tucking herself into the crowd of people, staring at the monster in disgust.

“Wait. Don’t do this. I might have left you but it wasn’t permanent! I came back!”

A man scowled, “It’s too late.” He told her gruffly.

“I’m sorry!”

I'll take those likes as yes-es!

I'll go first - since it's Halloween today, how about something supernatural?

"I may not be human, (can have "anymore" here if the char. used to be a human) but I'm not stupid either. Don't lie to me."
I just realized I never even posted on this thread, yet I'm still following it. Anyway, I'm in!

"I may not be human," Vitzermite stared out of the windshield, "but I'm not stupid either. Don't lie to me."
I rolled my eyes. "Seriously? I told you, I didn't break your stupid car, and I didn't get it locked up either."
I huffed and flattened my feathers against my cold feet. This freak was impossible. Yeah I wanted revenge, but it didn't have to go this way!
"But you was next to it when the floorboards fell out!" Vitzermite cocked his head, the weird crest nodding. "I heard you peck it!"
I brought my wings forward and burried my head in my flight feathers. "Just please stop and let me go! I'm not going to help you!"
A bright light pierced through the windows, brightening the inside of Timmy's mother's car. "Who's there?" A human's voice thundered from the outside.
"We'll come back later," Vitzermite hissed, turning the key. He moved the funny looking stick and the car rolled backwards.
"Hey! Stop!" The pathetic human called. Like this weird bird was actually going to listen to him, ha!
Vitzermite slammed the stick upwards and the car screeched forward, leaving the row of locked up cars behind. How is he even driving this thing, I folded my wings in and held on for the crazy ride. He drifted the car sideways, and I slammed into the door. It didn't matter. However- whenever this is over, I'm going to peck him harder than I pecked his precious car.

I took hold and of her throat and lifted her off the ground. The woman sputtered and gasped for breath as I turned her head slightly, taking in her terrified expression.
My lungs burned from inhaling smoke but I did not mind.
“I am only going to ask this once more,” I released my grip slightly, “are you hiding infected?”
She was ridged with fear, her eyes running over the sight of her burning village. Her friends and neighbors lay lifeless on the ground, some aflame, caught by the sparks that danced from the dry wood.
“N-no!” She managed to cough.
I squeezed her neck harder. “I may not be human but I’m not stupid either,” she clawed frantically at my hands, “don’t lie to me.”
Fine…” she wheezed.
I dropped her to the ground and planted my taloned foot over one her ankles, pinning her to the dirt.
“In…house…o-over there…” she pointed. “Trapdoor…”

I could tell by her face she was telling the truth. That was all I needed.
With a quick flick of my talons, she joined her friends.
A small casualty in the shadow of necessity.

IS THIS WHO I THINK IT IS?

Boss: why are you late for work? And don’t give me some crazy excuse this time?

Me: well, the chickens stole my car.

Allow me to drag up some characters and mess up their story because I don't even know what it really is 😌

"I may not be human, but I'm not stupid either." Midnight snarled, "Don't lie to me. What have you done?"

The petite women stood firmly under the huge winged wolf's glare, "Nor am I." She snapped, "It was a mistake. You think I don't see it all now? He lied to me, he tricked me."

"So now you're just going to abandon us?" Midnight flared his black wings, "You're not the only one here who has a family! You made a promise to protect this world."

"Midnight, please." She pleaded, "Please trust me. This isn't just about my children, this is what I need to do to keep you safe, to keep us ALL safe. I will come back. I promise. I'm going to fix this mess."
