December hatch along

Pics
I have considered doing staggered hatches, what do you use for your regular incubator and what do you use for your hatcher? (anyone who staggers can answer this and let me know why they use what they use for each task)
I haven’t started staggered hatching yet but if you are looking for an inexpensive incubator to use as hatcher, i really like my janoelle 12. you can get one on amazon for under $100 and probably fit more than 12 in hatching tray.

Hi all :) I sort of abandoned the November hatchalong, realizing these babies weren't arriving till basically December lol. I've been up ALL NIGHT, super worth it, assist hatching two tiny serama fluffs that I moved from my big styro bator to a mini brinsea advance for closer observation. 17 hours later they're doing great, put them back in the big bator to cheer on the rest. One hatched in the meantime, now theres 2 pips, 1 loud chirper, and 3 taking their sweet time. This is day 20, so I'm trying not to worry. Putting my brooder together soon as I can peel myself off the incubator! :)

Question.... 8 hours ago I candled the non-pippers, one in particular has a really bad saddle air sac, and it looked like she internally pipped, she was cheeping like crazy and I could see a pointed shadow on the more developed air sac side. I placed her with that side facing up. Checked her again 2 hours ago, still chirping/moving, no pip anywhere tho. I'd like to help if I can, especially since seramas dont have the best hatch rates. At how many hours should I be worried that she hasnt pipped/how many hours til I help her pip?
My other two I noticed pipped and did nothing for 7 hours, then I started opening their shell by tiny pieces and applied coconut oil every hour. My last hatch I had 4 that pipped then died, and 3 that were alive and died with internal pips, it was heartbreaking :/ I realize seramas just do that sometimes, but I'm hoping to turn the tide on this hatch.... started with 24 eggs, now I have 9, it's been rough, I might be a little desperate :fl

I have never had a successful Serama hatch and I have Seramas. When I had issues with large fowl that sounded similar your problem was shrink wrapping. I have no idea if that is the case for your chicks. I never help a chick the hasn't pipped, not to say you can't do that... I am new to all this hatching stuff... When I do help a chick hatch (always due to shrink wrapping stalling them) I break them out by doing my own zipper pipping around the egg then put it all back together and make the chick bust out on their own. When I pull a chick out completely it always dies. I realize I am not much help in your situation but I thought I would post so you know someone is reading what you posted. If no one with expertise responds try starting your own thread so it can get more exposure.

Thanks Compost King :) This may be my last incubator hatch, the not sleeping is killing me, I'm sure my broodies would do a much better job  I moved her into my mini brinsea advance, I can candle from outside the bator, omg she just cheeped  Her beak shadow opens n closes, and I can see her breathing, so maybe shes ok for a bit....I'll probably post a thread just in case ...

The way I have under stood it your supposed to wait at least 24 hours after internal pip if no external pip by then you can put a hole on the top of the egg so they can get more air aside from that I don’t know usually they pip after you give them more air

Well, when its finally done and they're all fluffy, I'll post pics, these tiny eggs aren't great at hatching but they are definitely fighters. Thanks for the advise :) Shes on observation right now, it's been 12 hours and her position hasnt moved but shes really trying...

Broody hens are so much easier than incubators.
