Decreased Egg Production - Ideas?

I had a lot of trouble with soft shell eggs and thin egg shells (months). Calcium citrate helped a little but did not fix the problem. I read an article that said high phosphorus compared to calcium at the wrong time of the day causes shell issues. I stopped giving my girls peas and corn as treats in the morning (both are high in phosphorus) and they improved. So, if you are giving either as treats, you may want to cut them out.

I usually don't put it in a pan with water for just that reason. Normally when they get their daily "treat" basin I will put water in it but not when I do these pills. I'll chop up some tomatoes, watermelon, cantaloupe or something like that that I know they will devour quickly and sprinkle it on them. It will stick to the fruit so I know they are getting all of it.
Our guys are funny. They have never been big on fruit. We'll try again. They love peas though! :)
