@ZoomuKeeper How big is your coop, since you were cleaning it out once a week?
I live in Florida. Aspergillosis is from the fungus Aspergillus. I have no issues and I have had chickens for yearsDo any of you have issues with respiratory? What about Aspergillosis?
I can’t do this in Florida too humid. Mold grows fast.
My coop is 10 x 8 with 8 foot ceiling and it houses 3 hens and one rooster and it has another section I for my 4 juvies. Then the other hen house is 5 x 6 and houses 1 hen and she is in the big yard 50x60 ft. I need to enlarge her coop because when my polish hens grow they are going to be roomies. The other girls picked on the one so she said EAT BEDDING BITCHES! and moved out into her own place. I am also building another hen house for my Brahma juvies It will be a 12 x 12 with a 50 x 60 yard. I was a zoo keeper for a long time and all exhibits were cleaned daily so it is a habit. Their coops are not dirty I am just a creature of habit. I am getting better. I only make my stove shine after dinner now instead of every time I walk past it I have to check it for finger prints and make it shine again. I just can't let my chickens live in filth.
I don't want interbreeding. I want my breeds to stay pure because I sell them. I keep each breed in it's own area. I have a lot of property and I am retired so this keeps me busy as do my other animals. Right now the Brahmas are in the 10 x 8. I sold all of my australorps and buff orpingtons and the gray roo, so there is no danger of them terrorizing my brahmas and I moved my ISA back to the big hen house. The brahmas are 13 weeks old now and are getting pretty large but are still babies. They will out grow the 10 x 8 and will need the large yard and 12 x 12 coop. It is almost finished. Can the Brahmas not go into the 10 x 8 coop Or do you just want to have three different coops?

If you have other males.....4 weeks, to be absolutely sure.could I just pull my brahma roo & a couple of my brahma hens and house them together for a couple of weeks?
