Did you know that your child could be in danger?

Cant you press chrages?? Your child was attacked.. i believe that if you REALLY make a stink they will have to do something...
Contact your DA's office... contact your mayor....
Gahhhh!

Sue the family. They are denying your daughter peace and comfort in her own home.
Let the parents know that they are living next door to their daughter's victim.
Raise a public stink.
Put a big sign on your lawn.
At least ONE of these things will shame them into at least moving away from you. It may not get any other results, but they would be gone, maybe far away, and your daughter can begin to heal.

Unfortunately, telling people would be illegal and get me sued for slander. And no signs identifying the family. That would violate the offenders rights since she is a minor. I know. I checked. Before I bought the lumber. =/

Tried it. DA says same as LE. If there is no crime, then he (the DA), as the People's Attorney has nothing he can do.
I am skipping the mayor and waiting to hear who my Congressman is. The letter is written and it will be mailed as soon I know who to mail it to.
I have 20 copies. I will mail one a week until I am acknowledged.

There is so much "what the freak" in this story, I don't even know what to say.

Maybe you should contact your local news station. Seriously. Maybe a rise in some good ol' public interest may light a fire under someones tooshie to do something about this! I find it absolutely absurd that you can't get a restraining order. Absolutely ridiculous that this predator can be this close and have no reprocussions. What do the parents say about this situation? Maybe you need to get restraining orders against the parents since they are the legal guardians of this child... School systems punish the guardians for kids behavior (skipping school) so why should this be any different?? Do you have a lawyer? Rephrase....a GOOD lawyer?? We always have to use a lawyer in the nearest big city to get anyone worth a S#!T.

Something is truly wrong here....

Let me ask my case workers what else you can do legally..(i'll get back to you if there is anything..)
There HAS to be other avenues to pursue...
How can they NOT have a child go into therapy for this? That is frickin scary... that kid is most likely not going to stop unless someone intervenes...
Let me say this..i work with youth offenders.. and yes, some of them offended as young children(even younger than 10..)... and they STILL are held responsible for their actions and usually have to be in a program /or youth offender therapy... etc..
PLUS... a child that young..especially a girl.. chances are that SHE was also offended.. and is acting out what happend to her.. OR she was exposed to serious sexual things..(porn/parents)...
So... CPS should look into this better!!.Because THAT child could also be being abused!! .. I would NOT stop calling them.(DONT STOP)... and i'd go ABOVE a regular case workers head... go to a supervisor/director..... and i'd play the, "i'll sue the crap out of CPS and get you guys on the nationl news " card.
That child NEEDS to get in therapy ASAP..and have her serious problems addressed and NOT just pushed under the carpet so she can offend again and again.....
I'd also ask them to document all your concerns abouth this little girl and that they are REFUSING to step in ... tell them that you want it documentd that they are refusing to address this serious issue.. (they wont like that.... cause it makes THEM liable..)
Actually..know what i'd REALLY do... walk right into CPS with a lawyer... really... that may be the only way that they take you serious...
Trust me..CPS (the state) is terrified of having something like this get out to national media and a law suit.. (parents are sueing ths state of Mass right now... my job is ALL up in arms and walking on eggshells now..)... especially when they did nothing about the situation...
You can also call the sex offender board tell them what happend and that your local CPS isnt taking this serious.. and ask them what other avenues you have to protect your child and also help this other child get the help that she needs...maybe they'll check into it and make CPS's life hell and get them moving?..
I can tell you from experience that you have to be the squeaky wheel... or folks will keep saying that nothing can be done cause the offender is so young.. etc... and that is NOT true at all... CPS should be making SURE that that child gets into serious therapy for her issues AND protecting others from her in the mean time.

What a crying shame for all involved..

Must be a difference in state laws because in Illinois there is definitely such a thing as a child sexual perp. I used to work with teen sexual perps and they were never allowed to be alone with other children.

I am not trying to downplay what happened to your daughter, but is there a possibility this could have been some kind of 'normal' exploration game the two were playing? Could this be why DCFS is not taking further steps?

The only reason why I ask is that at that age kids are curious about these things.

If this is not the case and your daughter was victimized, then by all means start making a stink! Sending the letters is a good start; perhaps a sign stating a child molester lives nearby????? Make their lives miserable; I bet you can find TONS of ways to be an annoying neighbor on here!

Here in WI, a city/ township MUST be notified if a registered sex offender is moving to the neighborhood. Of course these are all adults..... not sure what they do for minors and especially kids that young......

I don't know your state laws but I feel so sorry for your family. Have you ever spoken to the parents of the offender? I might be tempted to write them a letter telling them what happened to your daughter at the hands of their daughter and that you will not stop until she receives justice. That could be haunting the CPS office, working with your state representative and senator to get the law changed, or whatever it takes to see that their child gets into a system that deals with sexual predators. I would also ask them to move. Reinterate that you will seek EVERY legal remedy and will never stop.
