It was based on a price per pound of live weight.

I'm surrounded by Amish and menonites. If someone gets to high, everyone else just moves to another farm!

yeo, they robbed you. I don't know of anyone around here higher than $5 a bird.

my normal menonite family who did then in the past quit this year cause they're moving. Said her house is too small for the 9 or 10 kids, lol! Said once she moves she'll be back at it. Have a guy who raises and butchers for himself normally that took her customers over. He's got mine now.

that's crazy. They do larger livestock that way around here but not chickens. They just get a per bird price.
