Dixie Chicks

I can say out here that when the sun shines it's harvest season! And, along with all the harvesting, comes all the processing. It has been pretty nonstop in our yard and kitchen for a couple of weeks now... Plus there was the trip out-of-state for the high school reunion. Not ignoring anyone, honest!

We can grow sweet potatoes in NY, plant after it was frozen, was so beautiful when it was growing

Got four gallons, over 50lbs of kraut fermenting

Still getting a couple meals a week of broccoli side shoots, man they produce!

Tons of taters no pics, DW and kids dug them up. Gallons of pickles.
Think I've got a couple of the onions, not all of them picked many earlier,

Tons of other stuff, can't remember it all, even dry beans, kidney and great northern, grew them with the sweetcorn.
Honey bees love the broccoli flowers that got away from me, man you got to keep up on them.

Nice naked pics, beer can :D and your garden hauls look fabulous! I just can't get used to the naked necks. They are so strange looking to me. I'd love to see one in person though.

I never wanted them before, thought they were ugly. Now that I have them, they are awesome! Make great meat birds also. And the chicks are super cute! Can't wait to hatch some out this spring!
When I had the chicks in my garage I told my BIL they were baby ostriches. I don't think I convinced him later they were chickens. He was still wondering how I was going to fence them in. Dude they're chickens. ..'yeah right...'

I am still alive. Trying to get everything settled for winter and move birds out who are to be sold and butcher the extra boys. Its killing me and hoping for less work this winter!
