Do I need a fan for my homemade hatcher?

DH and I are getting ready to build a homemade hatcher and was wondering if I really need a fan? I use the still air bators for incubation. Does anyone have pics of a hatcher without the fan. I am using a wafer thermostat.

Sorry, no pics, but a still air can surely be used as a hatcher also.

You don't need a fan, but they are nice to have.
They give you a more even heat.
