If your seafood smells then it's not fresh. Fresh seafood has no odor. If fish smells like fish it's not fresh

I think I knew that. The taste is a no go for me though.

My neighbor used to catch and cook fresh fish weekly. Even if it's faint, there is definitely a fish smell to it.

If fish smells or tastes like ammonia, it's gone bad and should not be eaten.

There’s this place here we used to go to a lot that makes a fried calamari appetizer and it has like banana peppers and other stuff with it and apparently it is VERY VERY good but I don’t like seafood so I won’t eat it but everyone else wolfs it down. Y’all would probably love it.

Fresh calamari, lightly battered, with a nice combo of marinara and sweet chili sauce is amazing. So buttery soft and delicious.

I've been through the whole "Try this, it's different and better" nonsense, and nope.

The texture, the flavor, and the idea of fish and crustaceans and squiggly wriggly things living in a bath of their own poo....


I do, however, love keeping fish as pets.
