I'm really proud of you guys and I know you can do it! Just think about how happy your super sensetive chickens will be when you quit!

Yes(we) I also go outside to smoke at anyones home even mine own ....even in a blizzard....There is a new law here...that you cannot smoke in a car with children present...which is good...and they are starting to remove the packs/cartons of smokes from behind the counters of corner stores so teenagers cannot be influenced by seeing them....plus they have raised the price of smokes so its outragiuos....but I just buy mine from the reserve ....Its a hard addiction to stop...I to stopped smoking when I was pregnant because I had a responsibility but boy oh boy when that baby came out !!! Oh man I wanted one !!! hahaha!!!!

I tried years ago to cut down.........didn't work for me. I would go out to lunch/coffee and make the exception. I would go to a bar with dh and alcohol wore my integrity down.

The only thing FOR ME that actually worked was cold turkey. I picked it up once thinking I had to have one in a stressful situation.........it didn't even taste good. I just THOUGHT I NEEDED it. Smoked for awhile again and finally GOT IT. All I felt was the guilt of giving in.

I hope it works for you.........HONESTLY. For me it's cold turkey.

I hope all non /anti smokers can understand how hard it is to break away.

It's so HARD.

God Bless You Girl.........you go for it. Whatever Works......Do It!!!

I was a smoker from my teens to 30. When I found out I was gonna
be a dad I quit using the nicotiene gum. It took me 9 months of chewing
it to quit the gum and several relapses back into smoking.

Then in 2004 we bought a house and my friend who I bought the house
with(2 family) was a smoker and drinker. Poof, I was smoking again.
A year later I quit again.

I highly recommend the gum. It really does work.

Quit alchohol and coffee before quitting smoking as both make it
harder.

Find alternate distractions and stay away from other smokers.

It can be done. It's not easy but what in life is?

It's been a few years now for me and I can hang out with smokers.
Heck, I still love the smell of them. Many who quit get all grossed out
by them.

I will never give control of my life and feeling back to a cigarette.

You guys are wonderful.

I've never had a cigarette in my life, but I'll be pulling for you and praying for you.

There are drugs you can get to help you quit...stuff like Welbutrin.... talk to your doc.

Do the Cold Turkey thing on January 1st.

Start the new year right.

I agree with PC.....tried the patch.......what a nightmare. Bad Dreams, lack of sleep, allergic reaction. Nicorette was great..........doesn't taste good.......but neither do cigarettes, really.

It was a great crutch for me........only used it for a month. A good investment.
