She is a girl. Her comb/face seem to be getting red. so maybe she will lay you some eggs soon. Hoping she has no reproductive issues. Days are getting longer so that may help with her starting to lay. Best of luck.

Oh i hope she is a Cuckoo Maran guess we will know when we get a chocolate egg. Thank youA Cuckoo Maran hen. The comb shows her to be laying or soon should be. I see nothing that signifies a cross breed.
Marans are white skinnedt/egged, your bird is yellowOh i hope she is a Cuckoo Maran guess we will know when we get a chocolate egg. Thank you
She looks vey much like my cucjoo maran hen. The hen with her looks like a cross with silkie or polish. Her legs are yellow no feathering/boot. I will only be able to pick her up after they roost tonight. I do know that the lady we got them from had many different breeds including marans, this one seams too big to be a cuckoo maran look more like Bared Rock?? (Due to size) i am a novice so I wouldn't really no the breeds well. Will see if I can get some photos tonight when they go to roost.
You are correct. I went and took a look at mine; white legs and the tail is longer, different shape.Marans are white skinnedt/egged, your bird is yellow
