Do you think she's a Husky?

IF you can't keep her in a fence then she probably has husky in her. They are notorious for being smart, loyal and take maximum security to keep penned. She actually looks like she may have some chow in her from the front.

She is gorgeous.

Oh, I don't leave her alone long enough to find out.

She did escape from my goat pasture already (3 acre makeshift dog park, I went out to see if I could catch a neighbors dog and she wiggled through a hole in the fence the smaller then she is).

My husky could get through a hole I would not have thought possible to get her nose through. She was often escaping her pen to be waiting on the front porch when we got home. She didn't want to go anywhere just loved the mental challenge of escaping. She and her mate ( a malamute mix) were the best dogs I had ever owned but at the time I was in college and had LOTS of time to work with them. Now, not so much. She went through her canine good citizen but failed the last test since she kept calling the pack back. Oh well.... she was a great dog, good mother, and lived to the ripe old age of 17 years. Even mostly blind and mostly deaf she enjoyed "escaping" when my DH opened up the gate to drive the lawn mower into her pen.

RIP Shadow

Mine has teamed of with the Dachshund mix from hell. He is a sweet dog, but most of the time he's like a 2yr old human child on crack! That dog is in perpetual motion, I swear it! Even when he sits still his tail wags.
She has decided he is her friend/puppy/toy and that is final! She has learned the joy of door darting, unlike the Dachshund who just fines tress to climb or fences to go under/through.
Your Shadow sounds like she was a good dog (minus the escaping thing).

Oh, oops, not exactly Keeshond but a cousin of Keeshond, the Black Spitz. Google and see if you think she's mixed with that.

Her coat is pretty long for a Husky, the ears are right, but that long coat really throws me.
Does she have a double coat?

I think so, her coat is really wonky right now since she was malnourished for awhile.

I think a very good chance that she has some Husky in her, but I don't think purebred. The coat is just a little off, all black and she is a tad small; I have never seen a purebred (or picture of one) without some white.

I really think she is a Husky X Chow, with maybe a little BC or something in the woodpile.

Her body and fur type really seem GSD to me. Her face resembles border collie with a shorter nose, which would come from something like a GSD. Something about her stance and the way she's built, and the small triangular ears do look like a spitz-type dog, which includes husky, so maybe there's some husky. I'm not totally sure, just my opinion/guess. What's her temperament like? Is she hyperactive?
