I think I want an American Doberman, as much as I love the look and size of the European Doberman I don't think I need all that drive and size. And as much as some people hate it I would get the ears cropped:oops:
I swear it's not just for aesthetics, I really hate ears on dogs. 90% of the dogs I've owned have had hot spots and blistered ears all summer, perpetual yeast infections that need constant treatment, and even lost their ability to move their heavy ears in their old age. So I'd probably get a nice military crop done. My pittie has cropped ears, I think he's so cute with his trim ears and he hasn't had problems, it's such a relief to not have to worry about him getting wet or even having them all torn and bloodied in the thorns he tears through.
Yeah, that makes sense. I'm against ear cropping and tail docking for aesthetic purposes , but I think it's ok if it's actually done for a reason, sort of like how many sheep have their tails docked to help prevent flystrike.

I totally get that! I have said I hate cropped ears, but not for ethical or practical reasons. I simply LOVE those floppy ears. I have felt with ear infections before too, and it’s not fun…

Dumb And Dumber GIF
