Yeah I know what you mean. I wouldn’t worry about it that much for a breed known for it. But yeah I’d try to steer clear if you can.
That’s good. And yeah, I feel like maybe it’s less worrisome than if it was a Lab or Golden breeder LOL or hounds cause they have to run in packs for the most part.

I don’t mean separated I mean no interaction. They would be very used to being around each other but the key is used to each other and ignoring each other. Over time they would be so used to being around each other and not interacting I believe they would just completely ignore each other. As soon as you allow them to physically interact with each other they want to do it more. Like with Chase and other dogs. If I make it clear from the beginning he is to ignore the other dog he has no problem and genially acts like that dog doesn’t exist. But as soon as he is allowed to play with the other dog, he is constantly wanting to play again.
But why wouldn't you want your dog to interact with other dogs?

I feel like, for me, that’d be kind of a red flag, but maybe not in a breed known for it? But I couldn’t handle that lol
Yeah that sounds like a dangerous situation and as a single person there's no way in hail I'd ever buy into a breed with such a bad history of interactions. Even my most dog aggressive and my most jealous dog get along, it's not really optional imo, they've had their tiffs but I let them sort it out to a reasonable degree and they play together allllllll the time now, my jealous dog adores my big bad pittie.

Awwwww glad they get along now

Me too, especially since they're both SO high energy and Velcro dogs, they wear each other out and share space around me now. Plus one is a mini Aussie and if the pit ever hit his actual limit the mini isn't going to come out on the right end of a real fight. The pit was fixed as an adult so he's very much a dominant male and the mini is still intact so I think a lot of their problems stemmed from mini's hormones and of course the jelly/aggro dynamic.

Ahhhhh okay that makes sense lol

Yeah definitely. I’d think SSA would have a genetic influence maybe, so that is probably a good think to keep in mind when looking at breeders. I think my breeders dogs all get along.
See I do love intense breeds like dobies and GSDs so much, but it’s stuff like this that makes me appreciate a chill dog. Still definitely want a GSD, but I couldn't imagine having 2 intense working line dogs at a time😭
Oh boy yeah that would be a lot😅

And why would you want yours to? Unless someone just has a lot of dogs (like you do) I don’t see any reason why they need to. If I give my dog all the fulfillment it needs that’s good enough for me.

Yeah😕 I know there are plenty of people whose dobies are ok with other dogs of the same sex I just wouldn’t count on it.
