Docile Rooster Breeds ?

I love love love my 23 week old Brahma Roo I know he's not fully mature but he is sooo sweet never once picked a fight my little bantam sized roos fought but never Goose he is soo sweet my 2 year old scoops him up and he loves to gossip even our bantam buff brahma was a doll he use to play in my sons little tykes cozy coupe and my son would push him around I would def. go with one of these guys they are great and soo beautiful unfortunatly can't keep roos in the city but mines going to a GREAT home so I'm going to have to find a place where i can keep them cuz I really want another brahma roo and the man I bought my new hens from his favorite rooster is a beautiful brahma roo

I have several fully grown Brahmas roos and all are real sweeties.....never aggressive. They can crow well, though!

I love our cochin roo! Our Easter Egger so far hasn't attacked anyone either. He's still fairly young but between our lead hen, our cochin roo and knocking him off the hens with a pitchfork when I'm around, he knows his place.

I worked at a ranch that had Australorps and RIRs. The Australorp roos were fine. The RIR roo used to attack EVERYTHING ... horses, cattle, humans, dogs, cats, tractors ...

We have 2 roosters, the lead roo is a gorgeous black Australorp. We have been having problems with him. He's not even one year old yet. He attacks me and my youngest child. But, he is a great protector of our girls. I think he might need to go to another home or heaven?? Our other roo is a partridge rock. He's nice. Never a problem with him.

the only rooster i have ever had a problem with was a br roo when i started out 6 years ago

With that said, I have a SLEW of roos and aside from one challenger attempting to take on my dominant Rooster once, there isn't much strife in my flock at all. (The challenger was feeling his oats; he is young and he's going to be bigger than the Boss Rooster, but after a whole lot of screaming, squawking, crest flaring, leaping at each other and losing only feathers, the challenger gave up. He now avoids the Boss Rooster at all costs.)

My dominant rooster is an EE. I have some up-and-coming Jersey Giants who are SO mellow... but they aren't top roosters, so they're staying low on the radar.

I've never had a problem with the bantam Cochins I've had. I had a group of three males and two females, mom, dad, and kids. The best bunch of birds I've had. I had issues with my Sebright though...

My light brahma bantam is a wonderful roo. He free ranges with his hens and we have company over all the time and he has never bothered anyone. He does not like to be held, but will hang around with us and will eat out of our hand. His brother was another story. Attacked everybody. I just ordered a copper maran roo,, so we'll see how that works out.
