Looks like a golden partridge Brahma to me. Can’t see the comb very well in the photo though.

Looks around six or seven months to Me.

He also needs his nails trimmed. Was he kept in a cage? He may have not been able to dust bathe at his last home. I would look at the skin all over and under his vent for any lice, lice eggs, or mites. How old is he? Here is the ivermectin pour on—there are other brands online and in feed stores to order.

If I use the ivermectin on the hens, should I wait a while to eat their eggs or does that not affect it?

I can see him catching the mites easily if he was in close confinement with others that had a bad infestation. (Kicking myself for my own impulsive mistake here!) The nice thing about treating with the ivermectin is it should get the leg mites, any other potential mites, and lice all at once. As for its use, egg withholding period, and such those seem to be hot button topics here.

I’d take close up pics of everyone’s legs, maybe you got lucky and the hens don’t have them too badly? In which case you could just stick to the soaking and oiling if the legs for them?
