Seems like it was still alive before you cracked it open

See the dark veins? I only see those in deceased embryos.

Thanks guys! Both of our last ones were early quitters but we are first time incubators so we did so many things wrong. Learned from our mistakes and hopefully these next ones make it!

That's a really nasty color underneath that yolk. When I did my eggtopsies there was no brown liquid like that whatsoever. I don't know what it could be though. I wonder if it was just a huge yolk and was too much for baby to handle?
