Dog Food Manufacturers

No, what you said was...

Making it sound to me like you were saying that you feel somehow superior or perhaps feel that you care more for your pets than the next person because you only feed only premium foods. I would be more than willing to spend the money, if I had it. Just because I don't have it doesn't mean I care about or see my animals as any less a part of my family.
That's all I'm saying.
Wifezilla, that may be true about less food needed however some of us still live paycheck to paycheck. What is the puppy suppose to do? Wait to eat until we have enough money saved up to buy him a bag of taste of the wild?

I never cared for dog food anyway. Our dogs like straight old Purina Dog Chow. Tried some of the expensive stuff and they won't eat it. Their coats are beautiful and shiny. Poop is firm not hard or runny.

The sad fact is that those "better" dog foods are just SO expensive! I'd LOVE to feed mine that stuff!!!..but i simply cant afford it. Does it mean that i am a neglectful dog owner? nope! Does it mean i dont love my dogs as much as you love yours? nope!! It just means i simply cant afford that expensive food. period.

That post was worded that way b/c of this:

I see nearly all animals as just that, animals, even the dogs.

I DO care more about my pets than that....there are a lot of people who see their dogs as "just animals" or "just dogs"......I said nothing of people who don't have the money for better foods. I'm not even feeding what I'd really like to myself.....I would like to feed raw...but I can't afford the raw that's available to me, so I buy the best kibble I can.

Exactly! We allocate $40 a week to feed the animals, all the animals. My medicines and my DH's CPAP machine costs us roughly $300 a month (after insurance). Which animal should I give up so I can afford better for the others?
When we have extra money I usually spend it on the animals, not myself. Haven't had a new outfit in don't know how long.

Have you seen the pedigree canned lamb stew and vegetables? Looks just like lamb stew that's been cooked in a crock pot all day long.

My brother made the big mistake of telling my eldest sister that her meatloaf tasted like dog food. Guess who was eating alpo on the next meatloaf night?

I know! Its hard! Just the flea meds ALONE cost us over $120 a month. (for 6 cats and 3 dogs) And we go through a 44 lb bag of dog food almost every week.. And a 16 lb bag of cat food every week..Add it up...
