Now's around the time the local(ish) dog shows are on...
I really want to do some but don't think any of the dogs are ready. Apparently the neighbour offered to take me along to some, but I just don't know if I could do shows without someone I know well there.

The puppy has great potential! Have you considered doing some hunting with her? Fanta looks great!

I've done shows before, but I always get anxious about the dogs getting anxious and then they get anxious because I'm anxious and we just end up a bit of a mess
Decided to rehome my favourite show dog a few years ago, miss her confidence but I know she's spoilt in her new home I don't really have a show dog right now. Obviously I'd like to show my puppy Winnie if I can, but my family also has three other dogs that I can show any of if I want...
If I don't decide to show I'll probably still try and take Winnie along to some nearby ones just for the social experience.

probably not going to do any hunting, I all ready have so many sports I want to do and the hunting doesn’t sound like something I would enjoy, the dog bit yes, human bit no

I get it. I also love the dog part of hunting, but hate the human part. That's why I've settled on sighthounds. That, or chihuahuas

I have realised protective breeds are the right dog for me! Sadly they are all large dogs

and I am worried about the shutzhund community, found some clubs close to me but I don’t want to use any aversive training methods or tools on my dogs

I love sighthounds would never own one though. My mother absolutely adores salukis
