Speaking of working dogs, I REALLY love LGD's, along with the chis I'm seriously thinking of LGD breeds to have on the property

I love English Shepards and Great Pryness. There is another one i cant think of the name. A lady outside of town has a Great Pyrenees and he guards the chickens like they are his life. They havent had a single coyote or hawk attack since he was there.

I think English shepherds are a herding breed. Great Pyrenees is a breed I've considered. Alternatively I'll probably go with the Molossus or Epirus. I've seen them do amazing with chickens

I don't need one per se, but I need one. I think you get what I mean. If I do end up getting one (which will be in the not so recent future) I'll probably free range the birds 24/7

What I mean is there are no predators in England that make a lgd actually worth it, biggest thing I have to worry about is a fox. I don’t know what predators you have in Greece

No worries, we actually have the same predators! A fox here and there. The predator load isn't heavy at all. But having an LGD would ensure I wouldn't have to ho deal with the fox, and I could leave the birds out all day and night. That, and because I like LGD's

Its 55 here. Although its been in the upper 80s lower 90s.
