Dog thread!🐾

OK. In this case, it's probably more of his body position that's causing you trouble. If his feet are in the right position but his body isn't, two things might happen.1. He'll move his feet. 2. He might look disproportionate. Most of the times the dog needs to bring their body forward

Hand stacking is when you pick up and place the dogs feet

free stacking you lure the dog into position. you can use things for the dog to target with their feet to teach free stacking
Maybe that would help having a spot for him to put his paws to teach him!

I think top picture the front feet and his head are the closets/correct position. Middle he is leaning forwards better then the others.
in the bottom one his back feet are the closest to correct

I could be wrong though šŸ˜…

I agree. His front is showing better in the first picture, but his head placement works both in favor and against him. While it's technically in a better position than in the two others, it's causing his body to lean back. In the third photo, I actually think the back feet are placed a little more to the back than it should, we usually see this in Spaniels and Setters

Your three photos are an excellent example, actually. First photo his body is leaning back. Second photo looks great to me, with perfecting the head position you'll get a better top line. Third photo his body is leaning a little too far out
