This thread, if nothing else, has given me a few more people to add to my list of "What BYCers do you want to meet"!

"The Tea Party Movement Ecosystem is a collection of individuals and self-organizing groups all united in accomplishing a single goal: returning fiscal responsibility and limited government to the United States through the exercise of political activism. It consists of the 1 million plus individuals who attended the 900 tea parties held across the country on April 15, and the millions more who believe in the noble cause of saving our republic from socialism today. Each individual and group within this ecosystem determines where they want to place their focus, and works independently to accomplish their own unique goals, but communicates and collaborates with every other individual and group within the ecosystem, so that we are all moving the ball forward to achieve the objective that unites us all -- returning fiscal responsibility to all levels of government in the United States."

I do see a lot of Tea Partiers talking about taxes. I've yet to have one of them explain to me exactly WHAT the taxes are doing with them. Are they being taxed without receiving services? Are any of them being taxed into poverty? No, so far, no one can answer yes to those things.

And it seems like for every sign that's about taxes, there's another about Obama's place of birth, something comparing him to Hitler, something indicating God's will, something warning us about armed revolt...or someone holding the Gadsden flag while talking about pushing for secession.

I think that's a fantastic question. So many supporters seem opposed to government invading their lives, yet during the last administration they were given-with quite a bit of support!-free reign to, well. Invade our lives.

I guess I don't get why that's funny.

I just have a question. If everyone hated the healthcare, if noone supports Obama and nobody likes what he is doing then WHY is he still president? This is a country governed by the people, the government has been overthrown before... Just wondering.
