I woud get the bigger brooder set up soon, they won't be 'really little' for very long at all, a few days at most.
A pond and a gazebo!!!!! ---sounds like duck heaven! Of course you need to keep some!
Your dad might just in love with them.....

Going shopping today! Getting the brooder ring, feed, yeast, puppy pads, leg bands, everything they need!

The ones I keep will be going with me when I move for school again so he won’t have to “deal” with them for long haha

He will live, knowing him he’s the first one to sit behind his desk cuddling with a duckling while working :D
I wondered if that aspect was in your arsenal.

Quick question, do you know when to stop turning? I’m confused if I’m supposed to just start lockdown or wait till the first internal pip, I’m reading mixed things :(
Do I stop turning now so they can get into position for pipping?
Not sure about ducks but with chickens 'lock down' means stop turning.
Upping the humidity can wait until first pip, depending on air cell status.
Hopefully someone with duck hatching experience is watching and will chime in.

I sorta counted on that LOL. But they’ll move with me when I go back to school so he can rest assured they won’t stay forever haha.

@JudysMuscovy do you have any insight on when to stop turning?

Yes you stop turning with ducks and crank humidity to 60%
